Recently I have been playing a video game called CSGO and on a "increasing FPS guide", the person said to:
- Get into "msconfig" in the search bar
- Go under "Kicking" heading
- Select "Avant-garde Options"
- And tick "Number of Processors" and changing it to the maximum corporeality

I was just wondering whether or not this will crusade any harm to my figurer because I accept heard stories of it either increasing performance or decreasing performance and in worse case situation that your figurer volition not boot up.

I was just wondering whether or not this will event my computer and/or crusade any impairment to ?

If the box is left unticked and the setting is grayed out Windows will use all bachelor processors even if in that location's a gray '1' in the window. That's the default setting.

If y'all tick the box and set it to a number then that'southward all it volition apply. So if y'all've a vi core 12 thread CPU and set it to '12 Processors' and then upgrade your CPU to an 8 cadre 16 thread it will continue using just '12 processors' until you go back in and change it.

Not a big deal but something easily forgot. I'd leave information technology unticked and grayed out unless you desire to limit the number of processors Windows uses for some reason.

BTW...yous can easily come across the processors Windows uses by checking Task Manager Functioning tab and using the testify individual processors option.
